Providence New Year’s Eve Celebration and Illuminate PVD Fireworks Display

• 5:30 pm - Starts at Sunset WaterFire, roaming entertainment & art activations
• 8:30 pm - Illuminate PVD Fireworks show

The Providence Tourism Council, the City of Providence and Mayor Brett P. Smiley are thrilled to announce the 3rd annual citywide New Year's Eve celebration with the Illuminate PVD Fireworks at the 195 District Park and the Michael Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Join us for an early start to ring in the new year, where festivities will illuminate the night from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Guild and Rhodium will be on hand, serving beverages to the 21+ crowd in a heated tent while food trucks serve up delicious eats. The party will groove right up to the fireworks display with local musicians, a 360 Photo Booth, and a DJ spinning tunes all night. 

WaterFire  will  light the braziers surrounding the pedestrian bridge, starting at 5:30 p.m., setting the stage for the Providence Tourism Council's Illuminate PVD Fireworks show at 8:30 p.m. sharp.

The 195 District Park and the Michael Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge offers the perfect vantage point, providing views of the fireworks on the Providence River.
