The Illuminate PVD campaign enhances the vibrancy of Providence by activating and illuminating public spaces and iconic architecture.

Through dynamic lighting installations and seasonal displays, we aim to celebrate the city’s unique character while fostering a welcoming, walkable environment for residents and visitors alike. By partnering with the private sector and local community, we strive to create year-round experiences that contribute to a thriving night economy.

Illuminate PVD's goal is to transform the cityscape into a beacon of culture, creativity and connection while inspiring exploration, supporting local businesses, and showcasing the beauty of Providence after dark.

Illuminate PVD: Holiday Illumination Grant - Apply by October 16

Providence Tourism Council is excited to bring back the Holiday Illumination Grant. The goal is to help merchants and community organizations invest in seasonal and permanent lighting infrastructure to make their storefronts inviting for visitors and contributing to our life at night economy. 

Providence-based businesses and organizations can apply to receive up to $750 to defray the costs for holiday lighting and illuminated decorations. Participants will need to show proof of proof of expenses for reimbursement. Approved applicants will be notified by November 2, 2026.
