Through dynamic lighting installations and seasonal displays, we aim to celebrate the city’s unique character while fostering a welcoming, walkable environment for residents and visitors alike. By partnering with the private sector and local community, we strive to create year-round experiences that contribute to a thriving night economy.

Illuminate PVD's goal is to transform the cityscape into a beacon of culture, creativity, and connection while inspiring exploration, supporting local businesses, and showcasing the beauty of Providence after dark.

Illuminate PVD:  Illumination Grant Programs

Through the Illuminate PVD initiative, the Providence Tourism Council provides grant funding to help local businesses and community organizations invest in seasonal and permanent lighting infrastructure to make their storefronts inviting for visitors, contributing to our life at night economy.
